Fall in Love With Your Home

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, we think about all the things we love and our relationships. We build relationships everywhere we go. We build relationships with people and places. Your home is one of those special places you have a connection to. If that relationship is feeling a little dull, fall back in love with your home with these few tricks.
Start by rearranging furniture. This can make any room feel brand new without spending a dime! Large and tall furniture should stay on the perimeter of the room. Keep walkways in mind too when redesigning your space.
Consider switching out artwork. While rearranging furniture, rearranging or changing artwork can drastically improve a space. To keep a space fresh, swap out old family photos with current pictures. Consider replacing artwork with something new and bright.
Defeat the junk drawer or closet by decluttering your home. Clutter isn't fun to live with and can cause unwanted stress in your life. Useless items can sap the energy from a room. Decluttering can help you enjoy your space again by weeding out anything you don’t need or want. This will leave you with a more ordered environment to live in. Pay attention to items that you don't use anymore and be realistic with yourself about what you need and what you can live without.
Once you have removed the clutter and extra baggage, deep clean your space. Put on some music and clean those spots you haven't touched in a few months. You could clean blinds, clean the windowsills, wipe down windows, vacuum hard to reach places, clean the oven, or wipe down doors and baseboards.
Bring some greenery into your home by adding some plants or flowers. The change in color can boost your mood. Flowers make any room feel better and brighter.
For a final touch, change up your window treatments! Adding curtains or swapping out blinds can have a dramatic impact on how your room looks and feels.
