From Alabaster, Loves Tuscaloosa – Meet Abby Hamrick

 

Everyone – please give a warm welcome to another new member to the Global Homes Group team – Abby Hamrick!

 

Abby comes to Global Homes Group by way of transition from a successful career in the service industry. She’s already using your talents at helping and serving others to work, helping bring properties to market and close transactions – with just a couple of weeks into her real estate career.

 

But let’s start at the beginning, back in Alabaster where she attended Thompson High School. She played volleyball there after excelling in softball and volleyball growing up (the 2 sports conflicted in high school).

 

Speaking of – she’s been at a ballpark most of her life since her dad is the Thompson HS baseball coach. Imagine being the coach’s daughter at a 7A high school like Thompson! It was interesting to say the least.

 

But she’s got great, model parents who still act like high schoolers – dancing in the kitchen together, laughing and carrying on. And they love Abby and have poured their lives into others, and hers.

 

One of the bits of advice her dad told her growing up, “if you love what you do, you never have to work a day of your life.” Coming from a baseball coach, those words ring true – and that’s part of what inspired Abby’s shift into real estate. She’s always loved it.

 

She loves helping others, serving others, seeing the dreams of others come true – and real estate is just the vehicle now she uses to make that happen. Speaking of dreams, she’s got some which are fun, which is to one day be involved in beach real estate. (who doesn’t have that dream!?!?)

 

But it’s personal with Abby, because she literally cries leaving the beach. It’s just a special place to her so one day she’ll connect her love for helping others, her love of real estate, and the beach – and maybe then she won’t cry leaving the beach, it’ll just be tears of joy with her beach clients!

 

But for now – Abby calls Tuscaloosa home and will for the foreseeable future. She’s lived her 6 years and loves it, absolutely loves it. The people, the town – everything about Tuscaloosa is home to her now!
